CAUSES NEAR AND DEAR TO OUR HEART


Our father passed away from heart complications, and both he and our mother suffered with Alzheimer’s Disease, her for more than 14 years.  They have made great strides in both preventive care for heart disease, and in helping to find a cure for Alzheimer’s, but they need more time and support to make that dream a reality.  We have and will continue to support both the American Heart Association as well as the Alzheimer’s Association.

Locally in Kansas City, there is an organization named Phoenix Family Housing.  It was started by both a client and friend, Jonathan Cohn and his wife Carrie, along with his parents.  The residents Phoenix Family serves, like millions of low-income families across the U.S., need more than housing to build personal and financial assets and overcome barriers to success – they also require services where they live. That is where Phoenix Family comes in.  Phoenix Family empowers people living in low-income housing communities with the on-site support they need to gain stability and achieve self-sufficiency.  That is where our support of time and money helps make a difference.
